So said Mike Mermel, an Assistant State’s Attorney in Lake County, Illinois, to the Chicago Tribune.

We don’t have a justice system in this country.  We have a legal system.

UPDATE – Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran is calling for Michael Mermel’s resignation.
